Pocket Radar describes the Smart Display as a companion for the Smart Coach: a large LED board that shows real-time speed over a USB cable so athletes and coaches do not have to check a handheld or phone. The maker lists daytime visibility up to 100 feet and automatic brightness.

Setup notes (from the maker)
- Power the display with C batteries, a USB pack, or the AC supply.
- Connect to a Smart Coach with one of the included USB cables (or the right-angle USB sold for Smart Coach).
- Mount or hang using the carabiners or a tripod-compatible setup as shown on the maker page.
- Need more distance? Use the 50 ft USB cable ($69.99) between Smart Coach and Smart Display. Pocket Radar notes that cable is for the data link, not input power.
Honest limits
- Not wireless. The Smart Coach and Display talk over USB.
- Smart Coach only. Ball Coach buyers cannot add this board later without changing radars.
- We have not independently measured outdoor readability or battery life. Treat the 100 ft figure as the maker's claim.
- Sale price vs bundles: the Display is $299.99 on its own page today; the Smart Coach + Display bundle is listed at $899.99. Piece math using the sale Display price does not match that bundle total (see the bundles page).

Does the Smart Display work without a Smart Coach?
No. Pocket Radar says the Smart Display is not a standalone product. It needs a USB connection to a Smart Coach Radar.
Can the Ball Coach drive the Smart Display?
No. Only the Smart Coach connects to the Smart Display. See Smart Coach vs Ball Coach.
How far can you read the Smart Display?
Pocket Radar lists visibility up to 100 feet in bright sunlight with a wide viewing angle. We have not independently measured outdoor readability.
What power options does it have?
Per the maker: 4 alkaline C batteries, a portable USB power pack, or the included AC power supply. Brightness adjusts automatically.
When do I need the 50 ft USB cable?
The box includes two 6 ft USB cables. Pocket Radar sells a 50 ft USB 2.0 cable with a built-in repeater ($69.99) when the radar and display need to sit farther apart.
