What the guides are (maker description only)
Pocket Radar describes:
- Recruiting 101 Quick Reference Guide as help navigating the college recruiting landscape with practical strategies.
- Velocity Assessment Guide as help understanding velocities required at the collegiate level.
We are not adding recruiting coaching advice of our own, and we have not reviewed the guide PDFs/booklets beyond the maker's product copy.
Who these kits are for
Families filming velocity for exposure who want the Smart Coach app (video with speed, history, CSV) plus Pocket Radar's printed guides. The radar itself is the same SR1100 covered in our Smart Coach guide. SoftBall-focused coaches who already own mounts may prefer Standard; new setups often prefer XL.
If you do not need the guides, compare plain Smart Coach kits on Smart Coach bundles compared.

FAQ
What is in the Softball Recruiting+ Standard Bundle?
Per Pocket Radar: Smart Coach Radar, Recruiting 101 Quick Reference Guide, and Velocity Assessment Guide, plus the usual Smart Coach in-box items (soft-shell holster, wrist strap, 2 AAA, quick start).
What does XL add?
XL adds a Deluxe Tripod, Universal Mount, right-angle USB cable, and Tripod Mount on top of the Standard guides and Smart Coach.
Can baseball families use these kits?
The radar is the same Smart Coach used for baseball and softball. The guides are labeled for recruiting and velocity assessment on the maker pages. We are not rewriting Pocket Radar's recruiting advice here.
Is XL cheaper than buying Training Bundle pieces plus guides?
XL is $529.99. Smart Coach alone is $399.99; Training Bundle is $499.99 without the recruiting guides. The guides are not sold alone on the store feed we checked, so a clean piece total is not available.
